The song of manateeshot waters of the Antilles via the Gulf of Mexico, the manatee is a peaceful animal. It spends most of its time to sleep and to graze the submarine meadows. The closeness with the human beings generates an endangered species: fishing nets, helixes of ships provoke grave wounds even mortal. It is also sensitive to the temperature of the water. Below 15 degrees, it does not survive more than 24 hours. That is why in Florida, the manatee is a protected species.
